As You Like It (Shakespeare Library Classic)

Terrible Layout If you dislike reading old English this version of the script is not for you. However old English does not bother me. What bothers me most is how the text is laid out and presented. It is hardly presented as a script. Sometimes the lines between separate characters are not split and some lines from a different character do not have the character's name abbreviated at the beginning, so if you didn't know any better Adam at the end of one of his speeches asks himself a question and then immediately answer the question, when in actuality Orlando is asking the question. All this makes the script very difficult to read and annotate. If I was you I would just go for a Wordsworth Classics that I managed to get on amazon for 50p cheaper than this. best Shakespeare I have bought so far

This is a great collection, worthy of a place in the library of any Shakespeare-phile. Rather than just being a glorified book of excerpts, or one of those tacky dimestore books that collect some basic "love" quotes from the Sonnets, 'Shakespeare As You'd Like It' is more like a compendium of phrases and speeches from the Bard's work.
